Puttur: St Philomena College wins Mangalore University Football Championship Trophy

Puttur, 17 Dec 2021: St Philomena College became the Mangalore University Champion in the recently concluded Mangalore University level Football tournament at Alva’s College, Moodbidri.

 

The tournament was jointly organized by Mangalore University and Alvas College.

 

 

The colleges affiliated to Mangalore University were grouped into Udupi and Mangalore zones. The victorious 4 Colleges were moved to the quarter finals. St Philomena College and St Aloysius College reached the finals.

 

In the final, St Philomena College beat St Aloysius College by 1-0 goal in the closely contested match and became University Champions.

 

Solomon Roshan Joseph captained the team. Prof Elias Pinto coached the winning team.
