Udupi: Karnataka Bank Kattingeri-Moodubelle Branch celebrates 44th Anniversary

Udupi, 13 Oct 2021: The Karnataka Bank, Kattingeri-Moodubelle Branch celebrated 44th Anniversary of its service to the people of Kattingeri-Moodubelle and ssurroundign regions on 13 October 2021 at 4.30 pm in the Karnataka Bank premises.

 

The 44th Anniversary of the Karnataka Bank was attended by Fr. Cyril Lobo-Assistant Parish priest of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle, Chief Manager Chakrapani V.V., Chief Manager Arun T.P., PNB MetlifeIndia Insurance Co.Ltd’s Circle Manager Rakesh R. Devadiga, Bharti Axalife Insurance Co.Ltd’s Area Head Pradeep L. Shetty, Karnataka Bank Kattingeri Branch Manager Raghavendra Naik B.N. later joined by Sudhakar Poojary-Belle Grama Panchayat President, some prominent customers of the bank including Mukunda Kamath, Devdas Hebbar and the staff of the Karnataka Bank, Kattingeri Branch.

 

The 44th Anniversary Programme commenced with the welcome address by the branch manager Raghavendra Naik followed by lighting of the lamp and cutting of the anniversary cake by the dignitaries on the dais.

 

In his message, Fr. Cyril Lobo said that bank is the place where people irrespective of their religion, language, caste and region converge to conduct monetary transaction. He further said that when he was serving in a mission centre he had his account in the Karnataka Bank where he found that the service was excellent and appreciated the sense of dedication and service to the customers by the staff of the Karnataka Bank.

 

 

Speaking on this occasion, Chief Manager Arun T.R. narrated the progress of the Karnataka Bank through the years and pointed out how the bank has changed with the changing times and has adopted the digital innovation in all its transactions and service to the people. He also mentioned about the various customer friendly products that could be availed by the customers without any difficulty. He further said that loan facility can be availed on line and within a day.

 

Chief Manager Chakrapani V.V. in his speech said that South Canara has been known as the cradle of banking in India as the district has been the birth place of many banks. While most of them have been nationalized and gradually merged, Karnataka Bank has remained as private entity and has been competing with the nationalized banks. He greatly appreciated the performance of the Karnataka Bank, Kattingeri-Moodubelle branch for reaching the targeted figure of deposits and zero non-performing assets.

 

Rakesh R. Devadiga and Pradeep L. Shetty spoke about their tie up with the Karnataka Bank to promote the Insurance schemes and pointed out the benefits of investing in their respective Insurance schemes not only for life insurance but also with a view to invest so that customers can get back their investment after stipulated time period.

 

On behalf of the customers, Devdas Hebbar and Mrs. Lavni Vinod Castelino greatly appreciated the friendly and quick service that has been rendered by the staff of the Karnataka Bank. Devdas Hebbar pointed out that the layout and space of the branch is as good as any of the city branches.

The Kattingeri-Moodubelle branch of the Karntaka Bank was established on 14 October 1977. Its first location was at the present Ganesh Hotel. Later it was shifted to Gokuldham Building in 1984. As the number of customers increased the branch was finally shifted to spacious ground floor of the newly constructed St. Lawrence Church Building in 2014.

 

According to Raghavendra Naik, the present Karnataka Bank Kattingeri Brach Manager, Kattingeri branch of the Karnataka Bank is one of the key branches providing excellent customer service. The branch presently  has 6,900 customer base and at present performing satisfactorily in all key parameters. Special feature of the branch is that though it completed 44 years the branch has zero NPA which shows that the customers are well disciplined in returning their loan availed from the branch. He expressed gratitude to all the shareholders, customers and well wishers  of the branch. The Karnataka Bank’s Kattingeri-Moodubelle branch is committed to continue the same service with greater service to all its customers.
