Veteran film star Ananth Nag and team in Barkur to shoot Kannada movie ’Abracadabra’

Barkur, 16 Sept 2021: As it was rightly predicted by Barkur-online pages, the renovated and refurbished historic Gothic Church will going to be the tourists destination and artists favourite place in days to come…..and the time has come and instances are pouring in to substantiate our prophecy, in a more than loud and clear voice today.
‘Abracadabra’, a Kannada movie team is stationed in Barkur to shoot some important scenes for their commercial movie. Veteran artist of 80’s and heartthrob of youngsters in 90’s Ananth Nag, basically a theatre artist, well-known in both silver screen and Television serials is starring in this project, who has acted in more than 300 films in Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Tulu, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
St Peters Church, Barkur received the crew with warm welcome as many of the local artists were offered to play small supportive roles especially in the tragic shots of a Catholic funeral in its cemetery.
The team Barkur-online yet to collect more information on the project, however, the term abracadabra, is synonymous with an incantation used as a magic word in stage magic tricks and historically was believed to have healing powers when inscribed on an amulet.
