Udupi/M’Belle: Women’s Day Celebrated in St. Lawrence PU College

Udupi/M’Belle, 08 Mar 2021: International Women’s Day was celebrated in St. Lawrence Composite PU College, Moodubelle on Monday, 8 March 2021.
“International Women’s Day is the day to acknowledge the role of women in their respective families and society. This aspect should not be restricted to one day. It is necessary that every day women’s role in their families and society should be appreciated by each and everyone. If the society is based on gender equality everyone can live a peaceful and contented life”, said Mrs. Rooparekha, Headmistress of Government High School, Manipura who was the chief guest of the programme.
On this occasion all the women staff of the institution was honoured by giving them gifts.
Student leaders Jemima Aranha, Sunil Kumar and other students were present.
Principal Edward Larsen D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Sunitha Kamath, Headmistress of St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School proposed the vote of thanks. Joseph D’Souza, Physical Director compeered the programme.
