Mangaluru: MCC Bank holds seminar for staff to update recent changes on GST Act

Mangaluru, 28 Jan 2021: A seminar on Goods and Service Tax (GST) was organised by MCC Bank at their headquarters here on January 23, for the benefit of staff members of all the branches of the Bank in order to update the recent developments/changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The Seminar began with a prayer by Aloysius Pinto, senior administrative assistant.
The seminar was inaugurated by Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal of St Aloysius College.
It was presided by Bank’s chairman, Anil Lobo Permai.
The directors of the Bank Marcel D’Souza, Harold Monteiro, professional director C G Pinto, general manager Sunil Menezes, and deputy general manager Raj F Menezes were present in the seminar.
The chief audit executive chartered accountant Kiran Crasta, chartered accountant Laveen Tauro from audit firm Vivian Pinto & Co delivered an informative talk on the subject by giving the details of the latest changes in GST. The session lasted for 2 hours followed by Q & A Session.
All the accountants and clerical staff members (60 personnel) have actively participated in the seminar and got their doubts clarified by the resource persons Kiran Crasta and Laveen Tauro.
Milton Sanil Pereira, senior assistant, Hampankatta Branch compered the programme. The general manager Sunil Menezes proposed the vote of thanks.
