Udupi/M’Belle: PUC and Tenth Std. Classes Commence in St. Lawrence Composite PU College

Udupi, 02 Jan 2021: For the first time in the academic year 2020-21, PUC and Tenth Standard classes commenced in St, Lawrence PU Composite College, Moodubelle from 1 January 2021. The college has made all the arrangements to follow the government guidelines and norms in order to take precautions for the safe study environment for the students and the staff members.
Earlier, prior to the reopening of the institution, sanitization of the entire building and classrooms was undertaken with the help of Belle Grama Panchayat. Staff members have been trained to guide the students to follow the government guidelines and norms against the Covid 19 pandemic.
Fr. Clement Mascarenhas has taken initiative to provide safe and healthy study environment.
Three new faculty members have been appointed for the PUC college-Ms. Cecilia D’Souza for Hindi, Ms. Netra for Physics and Ms. Lynet Joyce Fernandes as Office Assistant.
Speaking about the arrangements for the classes, Principal Edward Larsen D’Souza said, “We have been taking online classes earlier. Now with the government permission we have started regular classes. On the first day 90 percent of the students have turned up to their respective classes. We are following the standard operating procedures (SOP). The staff members are helping the students to take care of their health in the campus”.
Mrs. Sunitha Kamath, Headmistress of St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School expressed her happiness over the commencement of the Tenth Standard classes.
