National Women’s Front demands rigorous punishment to accused in teen girl’s rape case

Bengaluru, 28 Nov 2020: National Women’s Front Karnataka urged state government t to fast track the case of rape of 8-year-old girl by a temple priest.
The Front condemns the heinous crime of temple priest on a girl belonging to Muslim community at Devanahalli, here.
The incident has similarities to the recent Asifa case at Kathua stunned the people of Karnataka that has occurred in state capital Bengaluru. The state administration has not taken any action in this regard so far.
Similar cases are reported in Hathras and Bahranpur in Uttar Pradesh; Gulnaz in Bhiar that are occurring now in Bengaluru. The families are concerned about the safety of their girl children as law enforcement agencies are lacking interest in bringing the culprit into court and justice to the victim’s family.
The Front demands stringent punishment to the culprit through fast track court.
