Congress led protesters stage road blockade at Nantoor Junction opposing Farm Bill

Mangaluru, 27 Sept 2020: District Congress led laborers, Dalit students, youth, women units, CPI (M) and JDS staged traffic blockade at the inter-junction of Mangaluru – Udupi and Mangaluru – Thiruvanantapuram National Highway at Nantoor, here on Friday September 25 opposing the Farm Bill 2020 alleging the private companies to gain from implementing the said Act although it was privy to small and medium farmers in the country.

 

 

Mangaluru south former MLA J R Lobo, social activist Muneer Katipalla and other leaders of stakeholders addressed the protesters.

 

The city police provided the security for peaceful protest.
