Bantwal: SIO – Panemangaluru unit celebrates I-Day; appeals for nation-building

Bantwal, 18 Aug 2020: Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) – Panemangaluru unit celebrated 74th Independence Day at nearby Panemangaluru bus stand, here on Saturday August 15.
The social activist Ashik Kukkaje hoisted Tri-Color national flag and said, ‘The sacrifices of freedom fighters to give us freedom from British rulers should not go into waste. Meanwhile, every citizen of our country should strive to contribute in nation building.’
Jamat-e-Islami Hind Panemangaluru unit convener Mukthar Ahmed delivered the preliminary address.
The toppers of recently held SSLC exams were felicitated along with winners of drawing competition themed Green Coast campaign organized by SIO.
Face masks and sanitizers were distributed to the gathering who participated in the programme.
Jamat-e-Islami Hind social welfare unit president Mustafa M H, SIO Panemangaluru unit president Tamiz Ali, HRS captain Sattar Goodinabali, SIO district secretary Rizwan Azari and others were present.
Salwan Bolangady compered the programme.
