Beltangady, 07 Aug 2020: The sub division assistant executive engineer Shivaprasad visited Kukkavu and Kajoor villages, near here on Thursday August 6 that was worst affected by heavy rains and gutsy winds as torrential rains are lashing in all taluks across Dakshina Kannada district. The rivulets and other water bodies are over flowing in the region. Shivaprasad also inspected the roads, bridges and other building along the route for worthiness.

The bridge linking district vital road from Killur – Kajoor; Mundaje – Kadirudyavar – Didupe – Samse was damaged owing to torrential rains in 2019 that was reconstructed. The water has reached a little below the danger mark in the bridge and vehicular traffic moves unhindered, said Shivaprasad.
