Bengaluru, 04 Aug 2020: Siddaramaiah, the Leader of Opposition in Karnataka, took to Twitter on Tuesday morning and said he has tested positive for Covid-19.

Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, suffering from high fever, was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru around 12 am. “My father had fever since yesterday [Monday] and got admitted to hospital. He got the antigen test and tested positive,” Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra said. He also urged all those who came in contact with his father to quarantine themselves.

According to a bulletin issued by the Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru, the former CM was admitted for evaluation of fever and the antigen test showed him positive for Covid-19.

“He is doing well and stable currently. He is undergoing appropriate evaluation and management by a multidisciplinary team of doctors,” the hospital said.
