Mangaluru: Fraudsters in disguise of army men dupe hundreds with used car sale

Mangaluru, 09 Jul 2020: The fraudsters in disguise of armed personnel are duping hundreds of people through social media that has come to light during the times of Covid-19.

 

The fraudsters upload their pics with army uniform in their OLX or other social media accounts and offer used car sale. When someone contacts such criminals they would tell to pay advance money and dupe them without delivering the automobile.

 

The victims of such crime are approaching the Army Recruitment office in the city and are informed by the office superintendent that none of armed personnel are engaged in such act; instead alert the general public not to fall victim to such scam.
