Mangaluru: DK peoples representatives failed to ferry migrant laborers to native villages, alleges M

Mangaluru, 11 May 2020: The sitting MLA of Dakshina Kannada, MP of DK, district in-charge minister including district administration failed in combating Covid-19, alleged MLC Ivan D’Souza.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Addressing media persons at the press conference held here on Monday, May 11, MLC D’Souza said that the assurances of elected peoples’ representatives to ferry stranded migrant laborers to their native villages were unrealized despite the desperate situation during Covid-19 nationwide lockdown. 

 

Meanwhile, Congress has been helping the poor people by supplying rations to tide over the Covid-19. However, the BJP-led Karnataka state government has been alleging that Congress is politicking the issue.
