Mangaluru: Eucharistic Procession held at Ranipura Church ahead of Annual Feast

Mangaluru, 18 Feb: The Holy Eucharistic procession was held from St Anthony’s Chapel at Ulia, near here to Our Lady, the Queen of the Universe Church, Ranipura, near here covering a distance of 2 kilometers on Sunday, February 16.

 

The brass band accompanied by hundreds of faithful and choir group sang hymns ion honor of Our Lady, the Queen of the Universe Church all along the route. The faithful following the Eucharist also joined in singing.

 

It was held ahead of annual feast at the Church to be held on Sunday, February 23 at 10.00am.

 

 

Mangaluru diocesan judicial vicar Fr Walter D’Mello, concelebrated Eucharistic Celebration at the Church, along with Ranipura parish priest Fr Santosh D’Souza, Rushi Vana clergy Fr Elias, Fr Alvito and Deacon William D’Souza.

 

In his homily, Fr Walter called on the congregation to be united for the betterment of diocese and society.

 

Fr Santosh thanked the sponsors who contributed towards the expenses of procession and annual feast.

 

The display of fire works was held after the Holy Mass at parish grounds.
