’Four persons who visited China in isolation ward at district hospital’: DC
THE HINDU
Udupi, 08 Feb: G. Jagadeesha, Deputy Commissioner, said on Friday that four persons who had gone to China have been kept in an isolated ward at the District Government Hospital here and their samples had been taken and sent to Bengaluru for testing as precautionary measure.
Mr. Jagadeesha said that it did not mean that it was a case of novel coronavirus.
“It would take a couple of days for the results of the samples to be known. In fact I will not even use the word coronavirus here. These four persons had gone on to China in the last 20 days,” he said.
Sources at the District Government Hospital said that the four included two men, a woman and a child.
