Mangaluru: 108 Ambulance staff helps pregnant woman deliver baby midway to hospital

Mangaluru, 08 Feb: The ambulance staff of state-run Karnataka 108 successfully managed to deliver a baby when the pregnant woman developed labor pain midway whilst taking her to Lady Goschen Hospital, here on Thursday, February 6 at 11.10pm.

 

 

The ambulance staff had picked up a pregnant woman from Kulai, here and was rushing her to Lady Goschen Hospital, when midway at Panambur; the staff noticed the woman had severe pangs of delivery. Meanwhile, the male nurse Avinash and driver Basheer Ahmed Khan managed safe delivery of baby in the parked ambulance itself.

 

Later, they drove the mother and baby and admitted them at Lady Goschen Hospital. Both mother and baby are fine, stated the media release issued by 108 ambulance service district manager.
