Votive procession marks beginning of annual feast of Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill

Mangaluru, 05 Jan: Votive procession marked the beginning annual feast of Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte, here on Sunday, January 5 morning. Daily novenas will be held in different languages from January 5 to January 13, in preparation for annual feast on January 14 and January 15.
The devotees in a large number participated in the votive procession with offerings to Infant Jesus.
MLC Ivan D’Souza was the chief guest of simple function held at the sideline of beginning of annual feast.
Ivan said that the devotees of different faith, caste and creed are flocking to Infant Jesus Shrine in a large numbers every year, to seeking divine blessings in their tribulations, good health and other favors.
BJP corporators were also present on the occasion.
The devotion of Infant Jesus is deep-routed among the Catholics in Mangaluru diocese since many decades. The faithful from far-flung places across DK district always come to the shrine to revive their faith in Infant Jesus and seek His blessings in the difficult times, frail health and other issues.
