Mangaluru: Public awareness effective in curbing global warming - DC

Mangaluru, 05 Dec: The world is facing global warming that is induced by environmental destruction. The global warming causes rising sea level. We should take active role in curbing environmental destruction, said DC Singhu B Roopesh.

 

 

DC Sindhu was speaking after inaugurating a sensitization programme on global warming tht was organized by district administration, district disaster management unit and Lions Club – Valencia at district headquarters, here on Thursday, December 5.

 

She also administered oath to conserve eco-environment. She urged to sensitize students on planting trees that can restore eco-equilibrium to some extent for the living creatures including humans to sustain living.

 

Lions 317 D district governor Ronald Gomes, district pollution control officer Jayaprakash Naik, Lions Club – Valencia president Leslie D’Souza, secretary Oswald D’Cunha, treasurer Lawrence Serrao, students of Badriya education institutions were present.
