Mangaluru: DC Sindhu instructs officials to complete urgent repairs at Wenlock Hospital

Mangaluru, 02 Dec: District Commissioner Sindhu Roopesh advised officials of engineering division to complete the urgent repairs work of District Wenlock Hospital and also personally check the capacity of overhead water tanks.

 

Sindhu was addressing the meeting of Health committee, held at Wenlock Hospital, here on Saturday, November 30.

 

She also instructed to install 2 ton AC for OT at the earliest and also to float tender for items needed for in-patient ward.

 

 

The Wenlock Hospital medical superintendent Rajeshwari Devi explained that tender has been called for 25-seater AC passenger bus that is required for district blood bank and eye clinic, by utilizing the funds donated by MESCOM.

 

DC approved the naming of Trauma ward at Wenlock Hospital as memorial of Dr H Srinivasan, who served here as first lead surgeon from 1959 to 1962, to mark his 90th birth anniversary.

 

Discussions were held to appoint external auditor to audit accounts of 2019-20.

 

Lady Goschen medical superintendent Savita, assistant executive engineer Ashok, KMC Hospital dean, MESCOM representatives, Wenlock Hospital RMO Dr Juliana Saldanha were present.
