Mangaluru: Weeklong Life Skills Training Camp begins at St Aloysius College

Mangaluru, 24 Nov: A weeklong life skills training camp that was organized for teenagers of DK district by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) was inaugurated at St Aloysius College, here on Saturday, November 23.
Canara First Grade College principal Dr K V Malini inaugurated the life skills camp for the students of 9 years to 18 years to instil positive qualities, here on Saturday morning.
Deen Dayal Skill Training Centre and Centre for Integrated Learning (CIL) of St Aloysius College hosted the training camp in collaboration with NYK.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Malini said that the life skills training are essential for teenagers to lead them on right path or save them from destructive path.
She also commended NYK in its mission to impart life skill training for the students in order to become responsible citizens.
In his presidential address, St Aloysius College Fr Dr Praveen Martis said, ‘The life skill training is essential for the teenagers at this modern age, as human relations are strained due to smart phones and media. The extra-curricular activities are also necessary to develop comradeship,’ said Fr Dr Martis.
NYK Dakshina Kannada district co-ordinator Raghuveer Suterpete appealed the camp participants to make better use of the camp that shapes their future life.
CIL CEO Sachita Nandagopal, Krishnamurti Rao, NYK Mangaluru taluk representatives Vikas and Prajwal, CIL convener Nandagopal were present.
