Uttara Kannada man held for passing derogatory remarks about Tulunadu Daivaradhane

Mangaluru, 29 Oct: Cyber-crime police on Sunday arrested a man for allegedly passing derogatory remarks about Daivas and other sacred traditions of Tulu Nadu.
The accused Mudduraj Kannadiga, son of Desai Gowda, is a resident of Siddapur in Uttara Kannada district.
Arnold Tuluve (29) had lodged a complaint in this regard seeking action against the admin of ‘Troll who trolls Kannadiga’, page for sharing a troll on Facebook passing disrespectful remarks on Daivaradane, thus hurting the religious sentiments of devotees.
After getting information that the accused was residing at Siddapur, a team of cyber police personnel led by acting police inspector, Govindaraju B, under the guidance of city police commissioner, Dr P S Harsha arrested Mudduraj from his residence on October 27.
The police also confiscated his mobile phone.
Ealier last week, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath while reacting to the troll tweeted: “Daiva’s are heart and soul of this land. The daiva’s here are respected by each and every individual of any community. Disrespecting it is not acceptable. Kindly refrain disrespecting Daiva’s in your arguments related to any matter. I request City Commissioner to please look into this matter.”
