Dubai, 22 Oct: UAE’s most awaited Konkani literature and musical extravaganza Geet Gazaal 2.0 is gearing up around UAE and creating new sensation of excitement amidst Konkani music & poem lovers.

 

 

Patronized by Karnataka’s most promising media portal newskarnataka.com, Geet Gazaal 2.0 tied its presentation with Konkani’s ace Poet Melvyn Rodrigues on November 01, 2019 at Emirates Theatre Dubai. Geet Gazaal – 2.0 comprises of interaction session with Poet Melvyn, live singing of songs where the lyrics of the song are penned by Poet Melvyn along with artistic fusion of drama & dance for his poems.

 

The exotic attraction to the event is the collaboration of the Poet himself along with the Singers, Instrumentalists and Artists playing their heart out.

 

Following are the singers who contribute their voices to beautify the stage of Geet Gazaal 2.0

 

 

Aenson Mathias: A singing sensation who established like phoenix in the UAE, Mr. Aenson proved himself as prominent singing talent of Konkani in short time. Being a semifinalist of Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 6 representing the UAE at Kuwait, Mr. Aenson become a promising singer in every concert and he also attracted the Producers of music albums.

 

Alwyn Fernandes: A star guitarist of Konkani, who is not only popular all around the world for his exceptional musical talent but also known as fab singer too. Mr. Alwyn composed music for many albums also rendered his voice for famous songs of Konkani.

 

Anil Rodrigues: Is known for his powerful voice with unique quality of humming. He can merge himself easily with any songs and proved himself as one of the tough competitors when it comes with a selection of versatile singers. Through the musical albums Mr. Anil has successfully charmed the listeners.

 

Dr Rashmi Fernandes: A doctor by profession, but a singer by passion, is known as one of the popular singers of Konkani. Dr. Rashmi has shown her remarkable skills in singing from her childhood and given voice for many musical albums and concerts.

 

Jeevan Vas: Man, with a soulful voice. Is having an astonishing melody with controlled breath which is a key element of a good singer. Trained under Melodia music institute, he participated in many Konkani musical competitions also performed in International Konkani Concerts.

 

Lydwin Cutinho: Has a voice that suits all types of classical music, Ms. Lydwin has gained the trust of spectators through her unique style of performance. She also performed in many musical concerts and given her beautiful voice for many musical albums.

 

Melwyn Dsouza: Known as the Youth Rockstar, with energetic voice and confident performance. Being a member of desi rock band Charitra, Mr. Melwyn recognized as a singer, lyricist and skills in music tuning too. He performed in many electrized events and given voice for many musical albums winning the hearts of youngsters.

 

Preema Dsouza: A singing sensation of coastal Mangalore and middle east, Ms. Preema Dsouza is known for her melodious voice that makes you forget the world. Ms. Preema traditionally practiced music and singing and has contributed her voice for hundreds of musical and devotional albums. Also, she is known for her amazing skills as a guitarist.

 

Sabitha Mathias: With the unforgettable voice in the UAE is the winner of Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 6. A true example of dedication and focused towards the goal. Ms. Sabitha has practiced music over the years and rendered her soothing voice for many devotionals and musical albums.

Vinay Lewis: A winner of Gulf Voice of Mangalore season 1, with a blend of melodious and sharp voice is rendering his exceptional singing capabilities at the stage of Geet Gazaal 2.0. By sharing his voice for many musical albums and performing in many musical concerts Mr. Vinay has a huge fan following.

 

Band Open High:

Apart from these amazing singers, Band Open High has taken the responsibility of providing soulful live music for the show. The team lead by Mr. Joston Pereira – a ace keyboardist, along with Konkani’s one of the best guitarist Mr. Alwyn Fernandes, famed as Swar Maanthrik Ms. Preema Dsouza, guitarist cum vocalist Mr. Eldrich Dsouza, promising drummer Mr. Fred Roshan and rhythm pad artist Mr. Sameer spent their time to give the true musical touch to the expressive words of poet Melvyn Rodrigues. The Band Open High is also helping as back vocals for the event where they have taken the responsibility to present the show musically affluent.

 

Nratya Rang:

Dance plus famed, son of poet Melvyn Rodrigues, Gavin Rodrigues is joining his steps at the stage of Geet Gazaal for the beautiful musical numbers which are penned by his dad. Mr. Gavin is the semifinalist at Dance Plus reality show and he presented his dancing skills in India and international stages which were received tremendous appreciation from all. Along with Mr. Gavin, Ms. Rhea and Ms. Vinilda are the two ornaments joining him to glamorize the event by their graceful performance and win the hearts of spectators.

 

 

Kavya Rang:

Adding on to the innovation this year Kavya Rang, a new artistic experiment of dance, drama and narration by a Team lead by Mr. Darrel Vamanjoor and Mr. Melwyn Kalakul are all set to present the unique artistic fusion based on the poems of Mr. Melvyn Rodrigues. The team comprises of Mr. Darrel Vamanjoor, Mr.Melwyn Kalakul, Ms.Kavitha, Ms. Natash, Ms. Mural, Mr. Rohan Kalakul, Mr. Malcon, Mr.Hilson, Mr. Joel Mr. Prashanth, Ms. Sharmila, Mr. Wilson, Ms. Deona, Ms. Delisha, Ms. Sweeny and Master Anor are eager to take the audience of Geet Gazaal into the different world of art and poetry.

 

Gumta Rang:

A traditional music instrument of Konkani which was used by Konkani people years ago for worship and entertainment, is all set for Geet Gazaal stage. Wilson Pinto along with his team consisting of Anitha, John, Reema, Maxim and Fenita are going to showcase the beats of Gumta for song which is specially narrated for Geet Gazaal. Hence the show is creating an opportunity for young generation of Konkani to witness the glimpses of rich culture heritage of Konkani.

 

 

Brass Band:

Konkani events are incomplete if there are no beats of Brass band. UAE’s only Mangalorean brass band team Konkan Taram Brass Band under the leadership of Dainy Dsouza all set to enthrall the audience of Geet Gazaal. The team comprising of Melwyn, Preetham, Franklin, Vinod, Philip, Filipe, Dexter and Joyson are ready to raise the sound of Brass band at Emirates Thetare on Nov 1.
