Puttur: Meridian College wins B Sadananda & Vamana Memorial Trophy

Puttur, 28 Sep: Mangalore University Inter Collegiate Football Tournament 2019-20 for men (Mangalore Zone and Inter Zone) for ‘B Sadananda & Vaman’ Memorial Trophy organized by department of physical education of Mangalore University and St Philomena College, here at their grounds concluded on September 26.
‘B Sadananda & Vamana’ Memorial Trophy was bagged by Meridian College Ullal, Mangaluru. The runner up trophy was secured by St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangaluru. The bronze medal was bagged by Alva’s College Moodbidri and fourth prize was secured by Crossland College Brahmavar.
In Mangalore zone, the winner up trophy was bagged by Meridian College Ullal, Mangalore. The Runner up trophy was secured by St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangaluru. The bronze medal was bagged by PA First Grade College Nadupadavu and Fourth prize was secured by St Philomena College, Puttur.
In the valedictory function, executive director of S G Corporates Puttur Ranjitha Shankar participated as the chief guest.
The president of Puttur Taluk Panchayath K Radhakrishna Borkar distributed the prizes.
The campus director Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro and president of Mangalore University & College Physical Education Directors Association James Oliver participated as the guests of honor.
The deputy director, department of physical education of Mangalore University Dr Gerald Santhosh D’Souza shared his observation of the tournament.
On this occasion, Alumni and former captains of Mangalore University Football Team Divyadarshan Y M and Premnath H K were honored for the marvelous achievement in the field of sports.
The principal Prof Leo Noronha delivered the presidential address.
The physical education director Prakash D’Souza presented the list of prize winners and proposed the vote of thanks.
The Physical education director Rajesh Moolya was present on this occasion.
The Assistant Professor of business administration Prashanth Rai compered the programme.
