Mangaluru, 21 Sep: One has to contribute his mite in whatever way for the growth of an organization that he/she works. The growth is a continuous process, said Mangalore University registrar Prof P Subramanya Yadapadittaya.
Prof Subramanya was speaking during Foundation Day celebration of University College at Ravindra Kalamandir, here on Friday, September 20.
Those who worked for the university strived for excellence. I am changing to the times of new generation. It’s when education institutions fully involved in imparting knowledge; the youth community will take progressive path. The alumni of Mangalore University are quite successful in their lives; while some of them contributed immensely to remain in the history. If we have satisfaction in our jobs that will take us to greater heights, he said.
Learning is continuous process. Today, we need to introspect on whether the objective of University College that was set up 150 years ago has been achieved or there are lapses. The day should come when the students opt for University College among many universities. The students lack self confidence that is quite visible who need skill training to build up their confidence by preparing them in facing interviews. One got to think at least 10 years ahead in this regard, said entrepreneur and chartered accountant Nandagopal Shenoy.
University College alma matter president Colonel Nitteguttu Sharat Bhandary, office bearers, alumni, University College Retired Employees Association president B Govind Nayak, lecturers and students were present.
