Konkani Manyatha Diwas at Aloysius College

Mangaluru, 04 Sep: Marking Konkani Manyatha Diwas, Aloysius College held a celebration and awareness at Eric Mathais Hall on the campus, attended by students and a cross section of the community at large.

 

 

Konkani which is presently spread to several pockets world over, it has been long recognized here by inclusion in the eighth schedule of the constitution. The language is taught up to PG level in several institutions now.

 

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions. The association members put up a cultural programme. After the programme, ‘Urba’ - Konkani short film by Rajesh Shet, Sai Creations, Mangaluru was screened.
