ICYM Moodubelle organizes Independence Day Celebration at St. Lawrence Church

Udupi, 16 Aug: 73rd Independence Day celebrated with patriotic fervour at St. Lawrence Church Moodubelle soon after the Holy Eucharistic Celebration.

 

Ms Preem Rose Alva the president of ICYM Moodubelle Unit welcomed the gathering Rev Fr Clement Mascarenhas the parish Priest and Chief Guest hoisted the Flag and addressed the gathering. In his address he remembered the sacrifice of the great leaders of the nation to liberate our country and make India a secular place for all to live united and with Peace. He also mentioned that we need to remember the sacrifice of our soldiers in protecting our nation. Specifically addressing the youth he said that they are the future of the country. They need to come together be united and build a stronger nation.

 

 

Fr Jithesh Castelino, the assistant Parish Priest, Mr Vincent Fernandes, Vice president Pastoral Council of Moodubelle, Mrs Latha Dmello secretary, Mr Valerian Noronha And Mrs Anitha Alva, animators of ICYM were present on the dais. Sweets were distributed to all gathered. Ms Carol Rosely Quadros compered the program.
