‘Yuva Samagam 2019’ of ICYM Kundapur Deanery concluded with a grand success

Kundapur, 13 Aug: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement Kundapur Deanery level youth convention “Yuva Samagam 2019” was held at Millenium Hall Trasi, on 11 August 2019.

 

The Deanery-level programme comprised of an inaugural ceremony, followed by a session on Small Christian Communities (SCC) and its methodology.

 

The programme was inaugurated by lightening the lamp by Chief guest Fr Herald Pereira Director of SCC, Udupi Diocese, Fr Albert Crasta, Director ICYM Kundapur Deanery, Fr Alphonses Delima Parish Priest, Kota followed by other dignatories on the dias where Mrs Shanthi Olivera, Animator of ICYM Trasi unit, Mr Dion DSouza President, ICYM Udupi Diocese, Mr Vinodh DSouza Nominated Member of ICYM Udupi Diocese, Mr Arthur Dias Kundapur Deanery ICYM president and Ms Hancy Dmello Kundapur Deanery ICYM Secretary and Mr Loyston Crasta President ICYM Trasi Unit.

 

 

Fr Albert Crasta and Mr Dion Dsouza addressed the gathering on "National Youth Sunday" and congratulated everyone for being present in huge number.

 

Fr Herald Pereira Director of SCC, Udupi Diocese, conducted morning session based on Small Christian Communities (SCC).

 

Thereafter the mass was offered by Fr Herald Pereira and Fr Albert Crasta, Representatives from all the units of Kundapur Deanery took part in liturgy.

 

Post lunch ICYM groups from eight units participated in the Bible Quiz competition. Thereafter some games are conducted.

 

The valedictory function was presided by Rev Fr Stany Tauro, Vigar General of Kundapur Deanery along with the Other dignitaries on the dais were Fr Charles Luis Parish Preist of Trasi, Fr Herald Pereira Director of SCC, Udupi Diocese, Fr Albert Crasta, Director ICYM Kundapur Deanery Mrs Shanthi Olivera, Animator of ICYM Trasi unit, Mr Vinodh Dsouza Nominated Member of ICYM Udupi Diocese, Mr Arthur Dias Kundapur Deanery ICYM president and Ms Hancy Dmello Kundapur Deanery ICYM Secretary and Mr Loyston Crasta President ICYM Trasi Unit.

 

The presidential talk was given by Fr Stany Tauro Four members of different units of Kundapur Deanery shared their opinion about the programme.

 

Prize Winners of Bible Quiz were felicitated with the Medals and Sheilds.

2nd place Padukon Unit

3rd place Byndoor Unit

 

Loyston Crasta welcomed the gathering and Hancy Dmello delivered the vote of thanks. Totally the event concluded with a grand Success.
