Newly wed woman elopes with lover from hospital

Puttur, 01 Aug: A young woman who was married just 24 days ago has been reported missing from a hospital ward at Puttur.

 

 

The woman, identified as Prema (18) wife of Shinoj from Kannur, Kerala, had married on July 8 this year. Prema, who was from Kushalnagar in Kodagu district had married Shinoj at a ceremony organized by her parents at Kushalnagar. On July 26, the couple had travelled to Puttur to visit the family of Shinoj’s elder sister at Haradi here. As Prema suffered from fever on July 29, she was admitted into a private hospital here.

 

As she was in the women’s ward, Shinoj had slept in the hospital hall outside. However his wife was found missing in the morning. She had sent the message to his mobile saying she was going with her lover.

 

Shinoj has now lodged a police complaint.
