Mangaluru, 30 May: This summer camp indeed unearthed your talent that should shine like a star. You got to strive in fostering our mother tongue Konkani and its distinct culture, appealed NRI entrepreneur James Mendonca.
James was the chief guest speaking during the valedictory function of Kajulo, Children’s Summer Camp that was organized by Jeppu Parishioners Association at the auditorium of St Joseph Natak Sangh®, Jeppu, here on Tuesday, May 28.
Balmatta Medicals proprietress Matilda Pinto was the guest of honor presented certifacates and books to the camp participants.
The top camp participants Nisha Aranha (music), Adrin Fernandes (dance) and Riyana Menezes were presented Rs 2,000 each and Elvis Lobo was presented Rs 3,000.
Blanon Simanto, Sonia D’Souza, Joshua Toras and Nikita Bennys shared their camp experiences.
The camp director Eric Ozario, resource persons Victor Mathias, Jaison Sequeira, Vikas Kalaakul, Rahul Pinto, Velanie Goveas, Flavia Rodrigues, Jaison Lobo, Diol D’Souza and Russell Rodrigues were honored by St Joseph Natak Sangh president Wilson Baptist.
The treasurer Sweety Sequeira, Jasmine Morera, Gladys and Kirti Sequeira were present. The secretary Satish Fonseca proposed vote of thanks.
The camp participants staged singing, dances and Konkani skit, Amkan Illen Aika.
Clita Noronha compered the stage programme. Adrin Fernandes and Elvis Lobo compered the cultural programme.
