Puttur: Mangalore Varsity Economics Fest, ECOZENITH 2019 concludes at SPC

Puttur, 06 Mar: Mangalore University level Economics Fest ‘ECOZENITH 2019’ which was organized by postgraduate department of Economics of St Philomena College, here, in association with Mangalore University Economics Association (MUEA) concluded at College auditorium, on March 1 evening.
The treasurer of Mangalore University Economics Association Dr Radhakrishna Shetty delivered valedictory address. He said, ‘Failure teaches a lesson which will be very useful in future endeavors. The competitors must make retrospection of their performance. The consistent effort and hard work plays a vital role in determining the performance.’
The campus director and chairperson of Centre for PG Studies of the College Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the guest of honor. He said, ‘Fest gives an opportunity to acquire leadership qualities, which will be very essential in real life.’
The Principal Prof Leo Noronha delivered the presidential address. He said ‘Fests enhances competitive spirit. When ideas are shared knowledge grows.’
The coordinator of the department Dinakara Rao, secretary of MUEA Dr Roopa K, president of AMUCT Dr Joseph N M, convener Mahitha Kumari M, faculties of the department Sandhya H, Navyashri and student president Shabana P were present on this occasion.
Twenty six teams from various colleges affiliated to Mangalore University have participated in the Fest. The overall championship of ‘ECOZENITH 2019’ was bagged by Alva’s College, Moodbidri. The runner up trophy was secured by SDM College Ujire.
In Color Painting, Alva’s College, Moodbidri seured the first prize and St Agnes College Mangalore secured the second prize. In Elocution, SDM College, Ujire secured the first prize and Alva’s College, Moodbidri secured the second prize. In Model Presentation, NMC, Sullia secured the first prize and Sacred Heart College Madanthyar secured the second prize. In Quiz, Alva’s College, Moodbidri secured the first prize and St Agnes College, Mangaluru secured the second prize. In Product Launch, SDM College, Ujire secured the first prize and Alva’s College, Moodbidri secured the second prize. In Theme dance, Alva’s College Moodbidri secured the first prize and GFGC Jidekallu, Puttur secured the second prize.
