Mangaluru: Jounos from Ullal create sand art to rescue fishermen of missing vessel

Mangaluru, 16 Feb: The journalists hailing from beach front of Ullal, here, on Friday, February 15, created sand art at the sea shore in Panambur, here, urging both union and state governments assigned search team in locating Suvarna Tribhuja, fishing boat that had sailed from Malpe port, in Udupi district and reported missing with 7 fishermen onboard 45 days ago.
Six-member group of journalists created the sand art to highlight the agony of fishermen’s family who has no idea about their loved ones at sea. It’s owing to the pressures from fisheries union, union government assigned a naval ship that was fitted with latest technology to help in locating the missing fisheries vessel, Suvarna Tribhuja and rescue the fishermen from Arabian Sea.
The journalists Satish Pundikai, Arif Kalkatta, Mohan Kuttar, Ashwin Kuttar, Tejas Gatti and Shivashanker were involved in this sand art.
