Mumbai: AITC led auto & taxi men lay seizure to RTA, Bandra - demanding fare hikes

Mumbai, 06 Feb: The activists led by All India Transport Congress (AITC) national president Sayyed Yasin Tamboli and AITC Karnataka state president Sunil Pais Puttur laid seizure to Regional Transport commissioner’s office, Bandra (West), here, on Tuesday, February 5, demanding hike in fares of auto rickshaw and taxis in greater Mumbai.
Hundreds and thousands of auto and taxi men who were plying their vehicles since several decades joined in the protest, urging the RTA to revise their fares because the taxi services offered by Ola and Uber are ruining their livelihood
AITC national president Ganesh Boravake, AITC general secretary Prakash Ule, Ajay Jain Bellary, the owners and employees of transport companies were present.
