Bantwal: Swastik Friends Club, Punjalkatte holds traditional engagement of 13 couples

Bantwal, 04 Feb: Swastik Friends Club, Punjalkatte, near here, organized traditional engagement ceremony at Nandagokula auditorium, on Sunday, February 3. The mass weddings were scheduled to be held on Sunday, February 10.
Pujalkatte auto owners and drivers Association president Sudhakar Shenoy Kandiga inaugurated the event.
HOPCOMS – Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district president Laxminarayana Udupa was the chief guest, said the marriage lays foundation of family leading to healthy society.
Bantwal TP member Ramesh Poojary Kudumer presided the programme.
Murugendra Mitra Mandali president Udayakumar Shetty, Vamadapadav Agricultural Service Co-operative Society chairman Yashodar Shetty Dande, HOPCOMS director Vijay Rai, Kavalamudoor gram panchayat member Mohan Acharya, entrepreneur Dinesh Shetty Dambedar, contractor Prashant Shetty Madantyar were present.
Pilatabettu Agricultural Service Co-operative Bank CEO Manjappa Moolya Attaje and progressive farmer Girish Salian Hegdebettu led the engagement ceremony as per the tradition of Tulunadu.
Thirteen couples exchanged their engagement rings on the occasion.
The Club honorary president Abdulla P, president Prashant Punjalkatte, secretary Jayaraj Attaje, treasurer Rajesh Bangera, Club founder M Tungappa and others were present.
