Beltangady: Sri Kshetra Dharmastala to host 48th Mass Weddings on May 1

Beltangady, 25 Jan: Sri Kshetra Dharmastala to host 48th free mass weddings at Dharmastala, here on Wednesday, May 1.

 

Each bridegroom will be offered wedding dress, while each bride will be offered a sari, blouse and mangalasutra. All costs will be borne by Sri Kshetra Dharmastala Trust. Meanwhile, there will not be any scope for second marriages.

 

Sri Kshetra Dharmastala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade launched free mass weddings in 1972, in order to avoid lavish weddings and dowries that has been held every year since then. So far 12,160 couples were wedded and are leading happy married life.

 

The couples who wish to enroll are advised to submit their info along with appropriate papers at Sri Kshetra Dharmastala office by April 25.
