Udupi: Milagres College PG students visit NSE at Mumbai for educational exposure

Udupi, 22 Jan: Milagres College Kallianpur, postgraduate department of studies and research in commerce (M Com) students and faculty members visited National Stock Exchange (NSE) which is situated at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, for an educational visit recently.

 

 

The two hour session was conducted by Arvind Baliram SaWant, certified financial planner (financial market training & workshop financial consultancy trading & investment). The session started off understanding the need for setting up the National Stock Exchange in the 1990s and the problems associated with exchanges and trading back then.

 

Arvind Sawant also briefed on common terminologies used in respect of stock trading such as financial derivatives, risk management, trading, clearing and settlements etc.
