Bantwal: Ayyappa pilgrim drown in Netravati River

Bantwal, 06 Jan: A youngster who was on pilgrimage to Sabarimale drowned in Netravati River, near Thumbay vented dam, here, on Saturday January 5, when he had gone to bathe along with his 4 pilgrim friends.
The deceased has been identified as twenty-three-year-old Hariprasad, son of Raja, resident of Madange in Kallige village.
Hariprasad was supposed to go to Sabarimale along with his friends and spiritual guru Girish on Sunday January 6. He had already gone on pilgrimage four times.
Bantwal rural sub-inspector Prasanna and policemen Jayaram visited the spot.
The police registered a case in this regard and investigations are underway.
