Bengaluru: Sajal Gupta wins big at IOPC Jan 2018 & IPC Awards 2018

Bengaluru, 18 Dec: The Spartan Poker, India’s leading digital gaming platform, has set the bar high pertaining to innovative tournaments and leagues for their players. Taking it a step ahead, the premier digital poker platform hosted the IPC Awards to celebrate the spirit of the game and acknowledge players for their outstanding performances over the year. The extravagant event was held at Sahara Star, where the brand’s founder and managing director – Poker Badshah Amin Rozani along with brand ambassador Rannvijay Singha felicitated the best poker players in the nation.

 

One of the many accolades given out that evening belonged to Sajal Gupta who hails from the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore. Sajal won one of the most prestigious tournaments by The Spartan Poker – The India Online Poker Championship, held in January 2018.This young player had a brilliant run, with an INR 20k win and significant points to top the IOPC leaderboard. With that win, he built enough savings to start playing at live events overseas. Incidentally, he was also the first recipient of a Jeep Compass from Spartan, for winning the 2018 January IOPC.

 

Speaking about his win, Sajal said, ‘The IOPC is easily one of the best tournaments in the world of Poker. The championship not only gives you chance to earn really big amounts of cash but also gives you the best-in-industry prizes like the Jeep Compass. I am eagerly looking forward to the IOPC tournaments in 2019.’
