Puttur: St Philomena College Asst Prof Malini K gets Ph D in organic chemistry

Puttur, 14 Dec: Malini K, Assistant Professor, department of Chemistry, St Philomena College, here has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph D) in Organic Chemistry for her thesis ‘Synthesis of Novel Morita – Bayles – Hellman Adducts from Unusual Activated Acrylates as Michael Acceptors and their Synthetic Transformations into Functionalized Heterocycles’ by Madras University. She did her research under the guidance of Dr P Shanmugam, Senior Chief Scientist in Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai.

 

 

During her research, she has published research articles in reputed international journals. She has also presentedresearch papers in national and international seminars. She did her early education in Chidambaram of Tamil Nadu, higher secondary and degree education in Chennai, post-graduation and M Phil in Madras University.
