Bantwal: British curator Daniel Simone visits Rani Abbakka Tulu Study Centre; marvels at artefacts

Bantwal, 13 Dec: British Museum chief librarian Dr Daniel De Simone visited Rani Abbakka Tulu Study Centre and Museum at Sanchayagiri, B C Road, here, on Wednesday, December 12.
Dr Daniel lauded the collection of artefacts at the Tulu museum that has chronicled the thousands of years of history of erstwhile Tulunadu which was extended through coastal Karnataka along Udupi and Kasargod.
The veteran litterateur Yerya Laxminarayana Alva, Professor Vivek Rai, Dr M Prabhakar Joshi, Niren Jain were present.
Rani Abbakka Tulu Study Centre chairman Professor Tukaram Poojary welcomed the gathering. Dr Ashalata Suvarna proposed vote of thanks.
Several dignitaries from across the nation and overseas visited the Centre in the past and expressed happiness over the farsightedness and hardworking of Professor Tukaram in setting up the Centre and museum.
