Mangaluru: 80 students donate blood at camp organized by Govt First Grade College, Car Street

Mangaluru, 23 Oct: Dr P Dayananda Pai-P Sathisha Pai Government First Grade College Car Street, Youth Red Cross Unit, Rangers and Rovers in association with Lions, Lioness and Leo Club Mangaluru organized a blood camp here, on Sunday, October 21.


Nagesh Kumar inaugurated the camp and Vijaya Vishnu Mayya was the chief guest of the program. This program was presided by the college principal Prof Rajshekar Hebbar C.


The vice-principal Dr Shivarama P was also present.



Inaugurating the event, Nagesh Kumar said, ‘Blood donation is a noble deed that plays vital role in saving the lives of the people during the emergency. Students should make best use of such camps and be role model for the society.’


Youth Red Cross coordinator Dr Mahesh K B, Rovers coordinator Dr Shailarani B and Ranger coordinator Prof Purushothama Bhat N were present on the occasion. Sandhya compered the program and Pooja delivered the vote of thanks.


Around 80 students donated blood.
