Pradeep Paladka’s Konkani Comedy Drama ‘Vechogi Ravncho’ set to stage at Town Hall, Udupi

Udupi, 28 Jul 2018: Konkani Comedy King Pradeep Paladka and his team “Sangon Mugdana” is all set to stage their very popular 13th Konkani Comedy Drama “Vechogi Ravncho" at Town Hall, Udupi on Sunday, 12th August 2018 at 4pm. This 13th drama of Pradeep Barboza, Paladka was staged for the first time in Dubai last month and received a tremendous appreciation by the audience.

 

The same drama will be staged for the first time at Town Hall, Ajjerekad, Udupi by the same artists flown from Dubai to support Konkani language and provide a golden opportunity to Konkani people of Udupi Diocese and to entertain them. The drama is arranged by “Niranther Udyawar” a newly formed Konkani Forum to support and uplift the Konkani language under the slogan “Konkni Ulovya, Konkni Urovya, Konkni Amchi Mai Bhas.”

 

The tickets of this drama were inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Stany B. Lobo (Parish Priest and Chancellor of Udupi Diocese) on behalf of “Niranther Udyawara” at St. Francis Xavier Church compound Udyawara on Monday the 23 rd July 2018 attended by Fr. Rolwyn Aranha (Asst. Parish Priest), Mr. Micheal D’Souza (Secretary, Parish Council and Secretary of Niranther Udyawar), Mr. Steevan Colaco, President, Niranther Udyawar and members of Niranther Udyawar.

 

 

While inaugurating the drama tickets, Fr. Stany B. Lobo said that “Nirather Udyawar" has formed the Konkani Forum to support Konkani and to spread Konkani through many forms such as Literature, Drama and stage shows. Fr. Stany Lobo applauded their efforts in bringing the Konkani speaking people united under the banner “Niranther Udyawar” and wished them good luck in this venture. He also thanked them staging a very famous hilarious drama “Vechogi Ravncho" as a first step by a well known Konkani dramatist Pradeep Barboza, Paladka and requested all to support the artists of drama who are trying to uplift the Konkani language through their plays. It is our duty to support and encourage them in their efforts of entertaining the Konkani audience through their comedy dramas. Hence, I request more and more Konkani people to buy the tickets and attend and enjoy the drama “Vechogi Ravncho.”

 

The Konkani Drama “Vechogi Ravncho" is the 13 th drama staged by Dubai based Konkani artists of Mangalore and Udupi Diocese, under the banner “Sangon Mugdana“ authored by Konkani Comedy King, Pradeep Barboza Paladka. It is to be remembered that the same author wrote the famous Konkani movie “Ek Aslyar Ek Na" which was shown all over Mangalore, Goa, Dubai, Canada and many other overseas locations and was admired by Konkani people for the script and direction of the movie and watched by thousands of Konkani loving people all over.

 

 

“Niranther Udyawar” has taken this initiative to support Konkani by providing this golden opportunity of watching one of the most talked drama in Konkani circle and many associations of Mangalore and Udupi Diocese have requested “Sangon Mugdana” Team to perform this drama in their respective parishes on Public Demand. However, since all the artists are based in Dubai and they can afford only a few days of holidays this year they have agreed to perform only on two venues namely Town Hall Udupi to cater the Konkani audience of Udupi Diocese and at Anugraha Bayalu Mantapa, Kinnigoli to cater people of Mangalore Diocese.

 

The members of “Niranther Udyawar” has distributed tickets to representatives of various parishes of Udupi Diocese and expect a house full audience. There is already big demand for tickets and "Niranther Udyawar” requests all to make use of this golden opportunity as quickly as possible by buying the tickets as the sale is already going on.
