Bantwal: Rai contesting for 8th time in assembly elections; Rahul to attend convention on Apr 27

Bantwal, 24 Apr 2018: I am contesting for 8th time in legislative assembly elections and seek your blessings to elect me by considering the developments that are undertaken during my terms, urged Bantwal Congress candidate B Ramanath Rai to the party activists.
Addressing the huge gathering of party activists, Rai said, ‘I would not be free from the debt of people of my constituency and Congress,’ he said. The veterans Janardhan Poojary, Oscar Fernandes and Veerappa Moily have given me a chance to contest the elections at my young age that helped me to rise up to this stature. I maintained cordial relations with people of different faith, caste and creed while serving as MLA and district-in-charge minister. However, the opposition parties are engaged in propaganda to fool the voters, he said. He urged the party activists to work relentlessly for winning Congress.
