Bantwal: Panje Mangesh Rao Memorial Building to come up @ Rs 5 crore

Bantwal, 13 Mar 2018: The ground breaking ceremony was held for constructing Panje Mangesh Rao Memorial Building was held at a plot, nearby legendary Panje Mangesh Rao ancestral home, here, on Monday, March 12.
After the ground breaking ceremony, the district-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai said, ‘The memorial building will be constructed on state-owned 51 cents plot that lies besides Mahalingeshwar temple @ Rs 5 crore. It would house a library and serve as a venue to stage theater, literary meets etc.’
Karnataka legislative council chief whip Ivan D’Souza, Bantwal councillor Ramakrishna Alva, deputy councillor Mohammed Nandarabettu, BUDA chairman Sadashiv Bangera, steering Committee chairman B Vasu Poojary, chief officer Rekha J Shetty and others were present.
