Puttur: St Philomena College organizes 1-day workshop on Know your skills for office staff

Puttur, 16 Dec 2017: On the occasion of Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, department of office administration of St Philomena College, here, organized daylong workshop on ‘Know Your Skills’ at PG Centre seminar hall, on December 14.
Mangalore University registrar of evaluation Professor A M Khan in his inaugural address said, ‘In the present day scenario, administrative and support staff are playing a significant role as a step between teachers and students.’
The campus director and chairperson of PG Studies of the college Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his key note address said, ‘Administrative staffs are the face of the institution.’
The principal Professor Leo Noronha, retired deputy Tahsildar J P Rodrigues and St Philomena PU College principal Fr Vijay Lobo were the guests of honor.
Mangaluru diocesan Catholic Board of Education manager Fr Gerald D’Souza presided he programme.
Sahana Rao and team rendered the prayer. The office superintendent of the college and the convener of workshop Victorian Fernandes welcomed the gathering. The senior first division assistant Louis D’Souza proposed the vote thanks. The second division assistants Sudeep Vas and Mariette Shirley D’Souza compered the programme.
In the technical sessions, Victorian Fernandes, Veeru Uppi, co-proprietor of Aargees Business Solutions - Hubbali, Ramananda, office superintendent of MSRS College - Shirva, Krishnamurti, officer of department of Income Tax, Mangaluru and Venkatesh Mittanthaya ofwww.qualitymedia.com, Udupi participated as the resource persons.
The administrative staffs from various aided, unaided and Government First Grade Colleges affiliated to Mangalore University have participated as the delegates.
