Mangaluru: 4-lane road along Netravati River till Kannur would boon for tourism – MLA Lobo

Mangaluru, 14 Dec 2017: MLA J R Lobo took an initiative to lay four-lane access road from Netravati Bridge along the shore till Kannur mosque, linking Mangaluru – Bengaluru NH 66.
The Karnataka state administration has sanctioned Rs 25 lac to undertake the survey, in order to arrive at estimated cost. The officials of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Public Works Department (PWD), municipal body and revenue department are co-ordinating in this regard, said MLA Lobo.
Four-lane road will have width of 50 meters that would be a boon for tourism of Mangaluru, added MLA Lobo.
He further advised the officials to undertake the survey in order to avoid land acquisition thereby saving homes, to reclaim the shore of Netravati River wherever necessary.
The four-lane access road will reduce density of traffic on NH 66, said MLA Lobo.
