Mangaluru: IITC students attend tourism seminar conducted by Italian Tourism Board

Mumbai, 13 Dec 2017: IITC along with Italian Consulate and Italian Tourism Board organized a Tourism Seminar exclusively for the Travel Tourism & IATA students of IITC.

 

The event saw the presence of - Gauri Jayaram- director, Salvatore Ianniello - representative, ENIT- Italian Tourist Board, Stefania Costanza - Consul General of Italy, Kunal Sampat - general manager of MSC Cruises, Kunal Kothari - regional manager, Rail Europe, Rashmi Ahuja - commercial coordinator of MSc Cruises, Gurjit Singh (general manager - Fly Hi Travels), Nikhil Sampat - (admin manager of IITC) and Vikrant Urval (director Of IITC).

 

 

Vikrant Urval (director off IITC) said, ‘I am very thankful to each and everyone present today. Also all the dignitaries who briefed our students about Italy, I am sure the students learnt alot about the country. Italy is one of my favorite countries in the world - their culture, food, lifestyle is incredible. There are alot of similarities between India and Italy - from the color of the flag, people also both the countries start with the alphabet I. Today was an outstanding experience for not just me but also for everyone.’

 

Salvatore Ianniello said, ‘Without any delay, I would like to have the privilege to share this platform with the consul general Stefania Costanza’s who has just been posted here since the last 2 months so I would like to call her upon to this stage and give her view of Italy. Thank you very much.’

 

Stefania Costanza said, ‘I think Mumbai is amazing and India is incredible, I am really honored to be a part this. Let me thank first of all IITC for having organized this beautiful day together. Let me thank Salvatore Ianniello who really is the heart and the soul of this kind of a day we share together year after year. I would also like to thank very much Kunal Kothari, Gauri Jayaram and Kunal Sampat for being here with us today and being really the technical part. A lot of technical information about Italy has been discussed today, so now let me talk about the emotional part. Not just my country but every part of the world has this three link kind of expectation that is probably the thing that you would experience yourself traveling that you want to transmit & transfer to the people that one day will ask you for destination. I do think that all of us, we do have a heart destination, the one place we really want to be. Can I hear a couple from you, where you would like to go, the one travel destination in life, and some destinations apart from Italy? So when you think about these destinations, you feel you really want to go there why because it is your dream and travel and tourism they are definitely a product that you would put up itself/ instead  but they are also a dream at least for a many of people that we approach you. What is bad traveling? It is about trespassing boulders, isn’t it? You just fly somewhere or you drive somewhere or you go by bus somewhere or by train somewhere or by cruise to a certain place and what you do is you just cross boulders. Crossing boundaries is what we need today. Every time that you are in a foreign country, you get to know that country. You are that very place that country, that city that culture is not a stranger for you anymore. Experience each other’s culture, places, food, weather conditions makes people closer makes the fear disappear and this is what we need to day in our world. So what I do think is what you are going to do in your next job if you want to is to sell a product in a very professional way but also contribute to dreams of people and also contribute to everyone’s get together which is really important. Never forget about that.’
