Mangaluru: Diocesan Vicar General Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu celebrates 50th Sacerdotal Jubilee

Mangaluru, 06 Dec 2017: Mangaluru diocesan vicar general Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu celebrated his sacerdotal golden jubilee by celebrating Thanksgiving Mass along with Bishop Dr Aloysius P D’Souza, at chapel in Bishop’s House, here, on Tuesday, December 5.

 

A simple felicitation programmed followed after the Thanksgiving Mass.

 

Fr J B Crasta read the citation letter of Monsignor Prabhu.

 

 

Bishop Dr Aloysius lauded the simplicity of Monsignor Prabhu in his 50 years of priesthood. ‘He was the succor of downtrodden,’ said Bishop Dr D’Souza.

 

Bishop felicitated Monsignor Prabhu by draping the shawl and placing Mysuru headgear.

 

The diocesan pastoral council secretary M P Noronha congratulated Monsignor Prabhu on behalf of diocesan community.

 

Monsignor Prabhu thanked Bishop Dr D’Souza, subordinates at the diocese, clergies, religious and faithful.

 

Fr Valerian Fernandes welcomed the gathering. The diocesan chancellor Fr Henry Sequeira, procurator Fr John Vaz, PRO Fr William Menezes, senate secretary Fr J B Saldanha, clergies, nuns and community leaders were present.
