Doha: Madhumitha Biswas Group presents sensational Bollywood Music & Dance to packed hall

Doha/Qatar, 28 Nov 2017: Embassy of India, State of Qatar, in association with Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) organized a splendid 15 member Bollywood Music and Dance event at DPS-MIS School, here, on November 24. The group was led by Madhumitha Biswas Acharrya and sponsored by Indian Council of Cultural Relations of government of India.
Indian Ambassador to Qatar P Kumaran, the patron of ICC was the chief guest. Nepalese Ambassador to Qatar Ramesh Prasad Koirala was the guest of honor.
The performances included most of the popular hits of bollywood movie songs. The highlight of the event was the dance performance of Malayalam song, Jimmi ki Kammal, which was applauded by the audience. The group performed the dance and songs for approximately 75 minutes continuously.
Ambassador Kumaran, in his address emphasized the role of Bollywood in spreading the Hindi language and Indian culture to countries outside Indian subcontinent including Middle East, East Europe and South East Asia.
Hassan Chougle, director DPS-MIS School, Milan Arun, president, ICC and Madhumitha Acharrya were present.
Usha Ravishankar welcomed the gathering. Raja Vijayan, joint secretary, ICC proposed vote of thanks.
