Udupi/M’Belle: Parishioners and students felicitate Fr. Clement Mascarenhas on his 63rd Birthday

Udupi/M’Belle, 23 Nov 2017: Parishioners and students as well as staff of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions, Moodubelle felicitated Fr. Clement Mascarenhas on the occasion of his 63rd Birthday on Thursday, 23 November 2017 with Holy Mass and a breif felicitation programme.

Fr. Clement Mascarenhas celebrated his 63rd Birthday by concelebrating Holy Mass along with Assistant Parish Priest, Fr. Lawrence Cutinha at 9 am that was attended by a number of parishioners and students of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions in their respective uniforms.

At the end of the thanksgiving mass, Fr. Clement Mascarenhas thanked the parishioners, students and the staff for participating in the Holy Mass. He thanked the choir for its melodious singing. Fr. Clement gratefully remembered his late parents and said that he thanked Almighty God for the gift of priesthood.

 

 

Soon after the mass, a brief felicitation function was held in the portico of the church in front of the decorated backdrop. Fr. Clement cut the birthday cake as the school children and other assembled parishioners sang ‘Happy Birthday..’ song.

In his felicitation message, Fr. Lawrence Cutinha briefly highlighted the finer qualities of Fr. Clement and said that as an assistant he learnt many positive things from Fr. Clement which would enable him to carry out the responsibilities of priesthood.

Fr. Clement once again thanked all the parishioners, students and staff for their love and affection and asked them to pray for him.

Vincent Fernandes- Vice President and Mrs. Latha D’Mello-Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council were present for the felicitation programme.
