Bantwal: Nissan Duster SUV hits electric pole near Panemangaluru; driver dies instantly

Bantwal, 20 Nov 2017: In a series of road mishap, the driver of a car died when it rammed 3 vehicles and hit an electric pole near Panemangaluru Bridge, here, on Saturday, November 18 afternoon.

 

 

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Rakesh Naik, son of Madhu Naik, residing at Babanakatte at the jurisdiction of Netla Mudnoor gram panchayat. He was a bachelor working with Neralakatte Service Co-operative Bank. He was driving Nissan Duster SUV to deposit the cash with SCDCC Bank, B C Road branch, here; when he lost control and hit many vehicles and hit the electric pole besides the road and plunged into a field.  He died on the spot.

 

The district-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai and Uppinangady sub-inspector Nandakumar who were passing by the same road visited the spot.
